An Edwardian Chester Silver Double Sovereign Case

A delightful double silver sovereign case dating from the elegant Edwardian period. This stylish piece has an rectangular plain body with rounded ends and has an attaching loop to the top. The case opens with a press button release and the lid is hinged. The interior is richly gilded and opens to reveal the sprung holders - one is for full sovereigns and the other is for half sovereigns. A good collectors piece. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no splits, dents or breaks to the silver. The hinge is strong, as are the springs to the sovereign holders. There is a small area of 'scarring' to the top (shown in photo), commensurate with age.
