A superb and extremely impressive large antique watercolour painting by the well known artist William Henry Romaine-Walker. This was painted in England, it is signed by the artist and dated 1877.

W.H Romaine-Walker was primarily a very famous architect and interior decorator, with notable works all over England. Painting was not his main profession, though he was clearly very skilled with a paint brush!

This water colour is beautifully executed, with amazing details. It is very large and depicts a interior scene that looks rather Cromwellian. The condition is amazing and this was much more recently re-framed by the previous owner.

The painting appears richer in colour than in the images provided, it appears a little pale in our images due to the reflection of the glass.
