Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table

Description

A lovely antique Victorian period writing table / desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around 1860-1880.

It is very well made and is a useful size, this has a nicely polished back so can be used as a free standing item. The inset leather top is gold tooled and hand coloured, the mahogany has a beautiful overall patina. This sits on turned legs terminating in brass casters.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is very good for its age. There are some small marks and indentations here and there beneath the polish, commensurate for age.

Depth – 27 inches , 68 cm

Height – 29 inches , 74 cm

Knee height – 23 inches , 59 cm
