Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
A charming table in a lovely condition.
We are delighted to bring to you this lovely Georgian fold over top tea table believed to be made around C1820. This lovely table is in a fine original condition which we have just enhanced by sympathetically restoring this table preserving the lovely lightly faded rich Mahogany colour and original polished finish.

The top of this table folds over on its original brass hinges to reveal a larger polished top table surface which rests on a rear leg which folds out on a finger joint.
This table has a lovely double moulded top beautifully transitioning to the hinges. The table stands simple square back chamfered legs with moulded beading around the top of the legs and under-frieze. The table is in great condition for its age which is all complete with nothing missing or broken.

There is no movement or play in the joints as the table is being normally used, the top is flat with no bowing or twisting and smoothly folds over. This table has a small overall form yet is versatile from having a fold-over top managing to comfortably seat 2 chairs for use as a tea table or even a breakfast table.

Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique item it does have the odd bump here and there. We feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
