Stunning French Silver & Guilloche Enamel Pill Box

Description

An absolutely stunning enamel box, French in origin with the boars head mark for solid silver (minimum 800/1000). The goldsmith's makers mark is also present, I think GB but a little hard to read.

The sides of the box are covered in a burnt orange / gold coloured enamel over the guilloche design; the centre of the top is also decorated in this rare colour and decorated below with floral and foliate garland

Surrounding this central panel is a wide band of opaque black enamel between two lines of white enamel.

The box is top quality and in superb undamaged condition measuring 1 1/2" in diameter x 1/2".
