N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This lovely antique mantel clock has a mahogany case with a lovely rich colour and grain. It has a shaped top leading to a moulding to the top edge. The body of the case is then square and the front corners are inlet with sets it off beautifully. There is then a further “belled out” moulding leading to the base. The case is then finished by four thin, square feet.
The centre of the dial is then signed by the maker “USHER & COLE LONDON”. The dial then has two lovely shaped hands and is finished by a domed glass set into the brass bezel.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. It is ticking away as it should and comes complete with its regulating pendulum, winding key, and travel nut. It is a single fusee example of the upmost quality.
It measures approximately:
11.5” / 29cm Tall.
9” / 23cm Wide.
6.25” / 16cm Deep.
