This is a set of 2 antique bamboo trader's abacus. A Chinese, oak and bamboo counting apparatus, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Set within oak frames, showing dark, weathered hues

Rows of turned bamboo tiles set upon slender columns

Hand-written Chinese characters to the reverse of the smaller abacus
