Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It has an interesting and useful design, and is of superb quality.
The central three internal drawers are actually one deep drawer with dividers for bottles, so this could be just as much a drinks cabinet as a bookcase. There are two further generous drawers in the bottom, this sits on bracket feet and has a gently domed top.

This is an original Georgian period item & the mirror back must be a later addition. It also may have been reduced in size at some point. However – This is how we obtained it.
We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with a gorgeous colour tone and patina. The top section lifts of the bottom and this comes in two pieces for ease of transport.
