A Pair of Old Sheffield Plated Pint Tankards

Description

A good pair of pint tankards made of Old Sheffield Plate. Bearing no makers marks, but dating to c1780-1820. With visible internal and external seams and with turned metal bases and false bottoms.

The condition is very good with no splits or dents, some slight age related wear to the thumb pieces. Very faint copper bleed to the raised edges. The interiors are reasonably clean but with a few stubborn marks to the bases.

Total weight approx 800g.

Span approx 13cm

Base diameter approx 9.5cm.
