Impressive C19th porcelain charger decorated in the typical Imari colour palette, by Edme Samson et Cie , Paris , France .

Decorated to the dished centre with geese in flight , the borders with traditional early C18th Genroku period style painted floral designs and gilding .

The verso raised on a typical foot-ring , the outer edges of the charger decorated with floral sprigs .

The Parisian company of Edme Samson et Cie founded in 1845 were renowned producers of high quality reproductions and copies of rare porcelain Japanese, Chinese and European wares .

In excellent original condition with no damage or repairs.
