The Antique Clock Co. has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The 12” brass break-arch dial has a silvered chapter ring with both Roman and Arabic numerals, a silvered centre with engraved decorations and the maker’s name and place of work “Josh Sarjent, Jermyn Street, St James” with finely blued steel hands to contrast the silver of the dial. Within the break-arch there is a strike/silent subsidiary dial.
