A small and superb timepiece of good proportions.

The rear edge having an engraved index scale and also “FAST” and “SLOW”. The movement has Harrison’s maintaining power and the rectangular and substantial plates have turned and shaped pillars and fixing brackets.

The stepped top has a flat viewing glass that is framed with a recessed, silver plated casting with an integral folding handle lying within it. The full-size locking front door has a bevelled glass panel. The sides ...also have bevelled glass viewing panels which is further repeated in the locking back door. The lower case has a double plinth and integral
feet.
* The condition of this clock is amazing, there is no evidence of it ever having inferior work carried out to it. The colour and patina are superb, and it is wholly undamaged. It is a collector’s dream, has been maintained well and the case has never been re-polished. The escapement is in mint condition.
One could only attribute this example to someone such as Dent. It’s style, superb construction and escapement place this in the ‘Campaign’ bracket, i.e. to be easily transportable to wherever war is being fought. These clocks are rare and usually specially commissioned.
Dimensions: 9 5/8” high x 6 5/8” wide x 5 7/8” deep.
Condition: Superb, all original and though would benefit from an overhaul, working perfectly and keeping to time. The doors and locks operate perfectly and the door key is original. The dial is clean and the case condition is fabulous with very minor cosmetic signs of age and usage.
Price: The price is for the clock in it''s present and working condition. If any work is required by the purchaser, then a price and timescale for such can be advised upon enquiry.
