A stunning original antique French lamp, beautifully made from gilt brass. This was made in France around the 1910-1920 period.

It is of extremely fine quality, the frame is very heavy and has a working rise and fall mechanism to adjust the height quite drastically. There are four bulb sockets which can all be switched on independently. This would probably have been gilded all over, most of the gold has worn away to leave the brass finish with has a beautiful, slightly copper like tone. The shade that comes with it is also very old and quite likely original. The shade is also of amazing quality, with velvet edges.

We have had this re-wired, it is in good working order. Both the lamp and shade are in excellent overall condition for their age.
