This Edwardian inlaid rosewood envelope card table was made circa 1880.
Once opened the green baize playing surface is revealed as well as the counter scoops to each corner.
The top is smothered in inlays, using Ivorine that looks like ivory but is mica. Once inlaid, it would then be inked in to give the definition to the design.
Under the top is a drawer also that is inlaid and makes useful storage.
The 4 tapering legs are joined by a shaped stretcher, with a platform for display.
