Georgian Antique Rocking Armchair

A well presented and attractive Georgian antique beech and elm rocking armchair. The antique rocking armchair has a stick back with shaped open arms. The Georgian rocking armchair has a solid elm seat, raised on square upright supports, with two skid rockers and straight stretcher supports. A rather pleasing rocking armchair, of good proportions.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and fading to the seat, arms and backrest (pictured). There are losses to one of the arms, and a split to the top (pictured), however the armchair remains structurally solid and sound. The skid rockers have been well used over the years and are now very worn, this has impacted the rocking motion. There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, a neat example.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
