Description

Unusual 19th.c. brass inlaid rosewood work box or cellarette c.1860. Big enough to take 12 standard bottles. Shapely curving form with rosewood veneers across the piece. Extensive large brass mounts and carry handles, elaborate brass inlays to all four sides and the lid. Shaped apron and legs with further brass mounts and feet. With an old split to the veneer on the lid, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
