Antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch, 1918.

The watch has a good quality 17 jewel stem-winding movement, grade 635, which is working nicely. The movement has screw-set jewels, a patent Church 1892 regulator, nicely patterned plates in a nickel finish and a blued steel Breguet hairspring for enhanced precision. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 22,012,017 which dates it back to 1918.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from the English case maker Aaron Dennison. Dennisons produced most of the cases for Waltham UK. The front of the case has some unevenness and two little marks where the ring has pressed into the case. The back has a hint of unevenness.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There is a hairline running from the sub seconds dial towards number 8, and a couple of short very faint hairlines underneath the sub seconds dial.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
