Description

Dating to around 1880, this English Victorian Jewellery box is an absolute delight.

The dark cognac brown skin has a wonderful bright and glossy patina which showcases the skin and creates a wonderful backdrop for the engraved brass handle. It is decorated with a very Victorian design with the central plate being engraved with the belt and buckle design.

The interior is a joy with deep purple velvet, and incorporates two trays creating three layers. The top layer has long ring compartments running up each side, holding around six or seven rings each. Excellent quality hinges and Bramah lock (alas, no key).

A wonderfully impressive example sure to please, perfect for both a lady or gentleman. Measures 11" x 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" tall.
