A Fabulous Silver 'Horse Head' Table Lighter

1900 - 1920
Description

A fabulous example of an Edwardian silver table lighter, from the great name of Mappin & Webb. The lighter is in the sought after 'Aladdin's Lamp' design and has a very unusual horse head motif to the handle. To the front is a wick holder, which is removable. The reservoir has a lift-off top with a flame knop. This is to facilitate replacing the oil or spirit and taper. A superb collector's piece, with a practical use. Dimensions below.
