Description

This quality Antique Albert Chain features a graduated curb link chain, complete with two dog clips, a T-bar and spinning fob, all modelled in Rolled Gold.

The double-sided spinning fob displays Bloodstone on one side and Carnelian Agate on the other. Both stones have a smoothly polished surface and exhibit wonderful natural colours.

An albert chain is a decorative chain, originally used to attach a pocket watch to the wearer's clothing. The chain was named after Prince Albert, who was said to have been fond of wearing watch chains. The Dog clips would have been used to attach the pocket watch too and the T-Bar would go through the button hole of a waistcoat to secure in place.

Originally a pocket watch chain, this would now make a great necklace or addition to any collection.
