Description

P0204 Superb early XXth century bentwood hall stand in light wood, having 8 S shaped coat hooks and 8 bentwood scrolls for hats, surmounted by a turned finial, supported on cluster column terminating in 4 downswept legs with a ring for sticks and umbrellas. This coat stand is stamped ' Mazowia', ready to place at home. c1930

Mazowia was a factory in Poland, first manufacturing bentwood furniture by Thonet's competitors Kohn Brothers and consolidate with Thonet in 1922.
