Description

A large mahogany partners desk, circa 1850, having a newly fitted natural leather inset top which has been hand dyed in the traditional manner to create a fantastic faded green colour with tooled edge. The top lifts off its 2 pedestals for transport and has 3 drawers on each side enabling 2 people to work opposite each other at this desk. There are a further 3 drawers down each pedestal on one side, all of top quality solid mahogany dovetailed construction and retaining their original locks. With cockbeaded fronts and brass swan neck handles. Despite being of 19th century manufacture, this desk is designed in the Georgian style and is very well drawn.

The opposite side of the desk has a panelled cupboard door on each pedestal concealing a single height adjustable shelf inside.

Locks are working and the desk comes with a key.

A very good quality desk offered in excellent showroom condition, ready for use in the home or office.
