Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Kangxi period porcelain was produced during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor (16611722) in the Qing Dynasty. It is distinguished by high-quality kaolin clay, crisp white paste, and vibrant sapphire-blue underglaze cobalt decoration depicting flora, fauna, landscape, and literary scenes.

Traditional Chinese chargers are crafted from hard-paste porcelain composed of petuntse (china stone) and kaolin clay. The blue patterns are hand-painted using cobalt oxide pigment applied directly to the unbaked body before applying a clear glaze and firing at high temperatures.

Authentic pieces feature bright, clear cobalt hues often applied in varied tones to create depth, alongside a smooth, slightly bluish glaze. Key physical traits include precise potting, channelled foot rims, and period base markings or symbolic icons such as the Artemisia leaf.

A charger can be displayed on a plate stand atop a sideboard or console table to act as a focal point. Alternatively, securing the dish with a wall hanger allows it to be integrated into a gallery wall arrangement.

Dust the item regularly using a soft, dry microfiber cloth. If washing is necessary, use lukewarm water and a mild detergent, avoiding abrasive pads, chemical solvents, or drastic temperature changes that could cause thermal shock.
