Description

Circa 1910-1940 a heavy and well made desk lamp with a bendy solid link arm, and the original brass shell shade.

It measures 47cm in height as shown but can be adjusted accordingly, and the base is 15cm in diameter. It weighs 1.6kgs and will need rewiring and the price reflects this.

The base sounds as if it has lead shot or sand inside to give it the weight. This was a fairly typical way of adding weight to the base of a lamp in the early part of the 20thC.
