Description

A charming, natural camel-hair ground sofreh with a myriad of stylised quadrupeds - deer or gazelle, both of which run freely in southern Persia. Woven by Afshar nomads around 1900-1920, this sofreh would have been used to knead the dough to make the 'lavash' or Persian flat-bread.
