Brasses are replacements but are of good quality and have age.
Backboards are replaced to both chest and stand. Stand is in our view part 18th century and part 19th in and this is reflected in our price.
As with all period furniture it will have had repairs and restorations during its life.
This is a solid, usable and very handsome chest of small proportions with a most attractive well developed colour to the walnut.
