A rare George III silver candle snuffer and tray set the snuffers by specialist maker Wilkes Booth London 1808 and the tray by famous makers Peter & William Bateman of the Bateman dynasty, London 1807. The snuffers with gadrooned edge to match the tray, and fine quality cast and applied shell decoration. The sprung mechanism in perfect working order, the sharp pointed end for removing the candle ends, all on three bun feet. The tray also in exceptional antique condition throughout, with scroll ends and well struck hallmarks.
