Victorian Silver Heart-shaped Trinket Box 1891

This superb VICTORIAN SILVER TRINKET BOX was made by Arthur W. Pennington in 1891.

Of Heart-Shaped form with hinged lid, this superb Silver Trinket Box has an embossed foliate and scroll decoration to the lid with gadrooned sides making this a stunning piece. Inside, this fabulous Trinket Box has retained the original gilt coating – a sign of real quality.

The central cartouche on the lid carries an old inscription – ‘ Xmas 1892’ – when it was obviously given to some lucky person for a Xmas present.

This lovely box is in excellent condition despite being over 130 years old and would look superb in any setting or would add to any collection.
