An Arts And Crafts Stained Ash And Oak Chest Of Drawers Attributed To Gillow - C.1890

A best quality large Victorian Arts and Crafts chest of drawers, similar to examples by Gillow of Lancaster, with gilt brass Eastlake type handles, stop chamfered drawer surrounds, oak veneered plinth base and locks stamped ‘COPE & COLLINSON PATENT LEVER’. Stamped number 5572 to top right drawer.
 
The stain on the drawer fronts has aged to a pleasing crackly patina.
 
Condition:
 
Overall lovely, untouched condition. Good free running drawers. A few knocks and veneer repairs to plinth base.
