Rue des Fontenelles has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
It also has a secure locking mechanism on the right hand side which uses the same key as the top drawer. It has a lovely marble top, flame and patina. Inside the desk there are five smaller drawers. It dates from the early to mid nineteenth century.
