Description

A French Vernis Martin mantel clock. A green background with floral ormolu case mounts. A romantic painted scene to the base with floral decorations to the arch and case sides. A rococo chased bezel surround with convex glass to the sector dial with 5 minute outer markers. Blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell by Vincenti. Circa 1885.
