Wood Milliner's Top Hat Block.

Description

This highly decorative antique wooden hat block which is in the form of a top hat dates from the 19th century and has a fabulous patina and look.

This scarce top hat block would have originally been used to make and shape top hats. This unusual and handsome piece has now been mounted on a display stand and makes a stunning display piece.

Dimensions: Length: 32.5 cm (12 3/4"). Width: 24.5 cm (9 1/2"). Height of hat block only: 26 cm (10 1/4").

Total height including stand: 63 cm (24 3/4").

Total weight: 6.6 kg.

Condition: Wonderful decorative antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. The usual pin holes, splits, cracks and lots of age related wear leaving a wonderful patina and look.

Please note that only the hat block with stand are included and any other items in the pictures are for scale only.
