The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Vertex name.

The watch measures 25mm wide excluding the winding crown and 26mm high excluding the lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London (import mark), 1931 with a sponsor’s mark for the Vertex Watch Company. There are also hallmarks to the side of the front section of the case. The case is in good condition, as is the lens.

The signed dial has darkened a little over the years, and has a little marking, but is very acceptable for such an early piece.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a vintage presentation box, it is a bit tatty but still nice to have.
