Antique Elm Trunk or Blanket Box

A neatly proportioned Victorian antique elm trunk or blanket box. The antique elm trunk has a hinged lid that opens to reveal a spacious interior with a candle box to the left hand side. The antique elm trunk has metal carry handles to either side and is raised on a plinth base. Beautiful colour and grain throughout.

Height – 44cm / Width – 87cm / Depth – 55.5cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches shrinkage and warping to the top (pictured) further marks and scratches to the front and sides (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique elm trunk remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a good example of its kind.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
