18th Century Antique Oak Chest of Drawers

A neatly proportioned early 18th century antique oak chest of drawers. The antique oak chest has a two plank top, with an arrangement of three short over three long graduating drawers, each with decorative brass backplates and drop handles. The antique oak chest of drawers has panelled sides, and is raised on bun feet. Lovely colour and patina throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, shrinkage splits and stains to the top (pictured), further splits and marks to the sides (pictured). There are also a few patch repairs to the drawer fronts (pictured), however this doesn’t affect the overall integrity of the chest. There is minor evidence of historic woodworm, this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak chest of drawers remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a great example of its kind.
