Description

A splendid example of a Regency era cut lead crystal water jug c1820. The bulbous body is cut with stars within a diamond outline below wide slice cuts on the shoulder. This leads to the fine horizontal step cutting around the neck which changes angle u Dee the spout. The rim is triangle cut. The base is star cut. The top of the sturdy handle has a stepped thumb plinth, in three levels, very unusual but practical. The condition is superb, no nicks or damage.
