Silver Plate Champagne Wine Cooler and Floor Stand.

1920 - 1940
Description

This stylish Champagne or wine cooler which is made of silver plate is by French silversmith Caploun Andre of Paris, France and dates from c1930's.

This vintage wine bucket is a quality piece with it's Art Deco handles to the sides, ring decoration to the body, is a good weight and the underside is marked with the maker's marks.

This Champagne bucket sits nicely in the silver plated floor stand that has a stepped design to the top and domed base.

Marks: Marked to base of wine cooler with the maker's marks of AC & Lyre for Caploun Andre of Paris, France.

Dimensions of cooler only: Diameter: 19.5 cm (7 3/4"). Diameter including handles: 29 cm (11 1/4"). Height: 20.5 cm (8").

Total height of stand and cooler: 72.5 cm (28 1/2") approx.

Total weight: 4.520 Kg.

Condition: Very good used vintage condition with only light signs of use in keeping with age. Silver plate is in very good condition with just a few light surface scratches and marks. The inside of the bucket is nice and clean. No damage or dents.

Please note that only the cooler bucket and stand are included. Any other items in the pictures are for display only.
