Antique French Button Back Armchair

19th century
Description

An antique French button back armchair, circa 1900, the square back over scroll arms and serpentine shaped sprung seat, raised on ebonised ring turned supports, upholstered in a soft blue velvet type fabric.

A very comfortable chair in good order overall, the springs are good with no lumps or bumps to the seat, the fabric is clean overall, however one inside arm has one of the buttons missing which has slightly torn the fabric.

I can arrange re-covering with my upholsterer and supply fabric if required - please get in touch for further details.

The back 92cm high, the seat 70cm wide at the front edge, 54cm deep and 36cm high.
