Description

A Quality C19th King Size Mahogany Half Tester Bed. Sourced from a large local Sussex country house. The upper cavetto moulded canopy with square block corners with bullseye motif and decorative turned finials housing the hanging poles with rings. The bed has a particularly grand serpentine shaped footboard. Having a lovely flame mahogany to its central panel, flanked by oversized pillars with turned caps and a block base with inset castors. The bed comes with a bedstead for the mattress to sit on. The Japanese inspired drapes are also included if required. A handsome bed with a rich colour and patina that would grace any bedroom. Nice that it has its bedstead intact as these are often lost and very hard to find replacements.
