The Royal Institute of Naval Architects are shortly holding celebrations to mark the 200th. aniversary of his birth. He was married to Catherine Holdsworth of Dorchester
The 8 day clock was made by Richard Howe of Dorchester, a famous clockmaker in about 1710.

The superb mahogany case is of classic slim-line Georgian design and has a beautiful colour and patina. It has satinwood crossbanding to the door and Chippendale style blind fretwork below the hood.
This clock will be delivered and installed anywhere within England or Wales free of charge and will carry a 12mths. mechanical guarantee.
The clock measures 79" tall.
