Aramis Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The frame is supported by a solid brass easel back, closed by a swivel pivot at base. The panels of the doors are pierced with a foliage pattern upwards and downwards from a central rosette. The arch top, base and lower sides are also adorned with pierced brass panels, depicting tulips, pineapples and foliage. In excellent condition. The door hinges are perfect. Two side swivel pivots are missing from the back but the base pivot works perfectly and holds the back in place. We cannot be certain either way but this piece could be English or French made.
