Description

This is a very attractive piece. A large Antique Victorian sterling silver dish in the form of a scallop shell made by Atkins Bros and hallmarked in Sheffield 1898.

It is in very good condition and stands firmly on 3 reeded feet. Hallmarks are clearly struck and there is a vacant cartouche to the handle. Extensive scrolled foliate decoration with the outer scalloped rim beautifully pierced.

A Victorian silver dish that would have a variety of purposes or simply as an ornate decorative piece.
