Description

A quality twin fusee mahogany dropdial wall clock. A 12" painted dial signed 'T & E Rhodes, Kendal'. Choice veneers and the original side carvings. A scrolled base and fretwork to the pendulum aperture. A twin fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell. A double fusee mechanism is rarely seen in wall clocks.

Thomas and Edward Rhodes of Kendal are listed as working in Loomes' 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book from 1850-1871.

Width 16 " / 41cms. Depth 6" / 15cms Height 32" / 82cms.
