Description

An impressive mahogany bracket clock with the original wall bracket plinth. Choice flame mahogany veneers to the case. Brass side fretwork and handles. A cast brass bezel to the convex painted dial with blued steel hands. A quality twin fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell with pendulum locking device.

Rowell and Son of Oxford are recorded in Loomes' 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working from 1834-1865.

Height (of clock) 23 " / 60 cms Depth 7 " / 18 cms Width 12 " / 30 cms. Wall bracket 12" / 31cms tall.
