An Antique 18th Century Tin-glazed Dutch Delft Charger C.1780

Description

A good large Dutch Delft blue and white charger or large shallow dish. It is decorated with a central bird surrounded by flowers and leaves. The edge of the piece is scalloped and it is in good condition. There are three small chips which do not show from the front (see images). The claw mark on the reverse is for De Klaauw (1661-1807). It has the number 490 painted on the back as well. It rings beautifully and measures 36cm in diameter.
