A beautiful, original antique French clock set, very large and decorative. The faïence bodies have a cream background delicately decorated with flowers and mounted with gilt brass. Candelabra have elaborate, scrolling branches with the nozzles modelled as flower heads.

The dial is enamel on copper and is complete with original blued steel hands.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell.

Condition of the case is excellent, ceramic bodies are vey good, just some slight crazing, no damage. We have carefully removed and cleaned the gilt brass mounts, these are now bright and clean. There are some old repairs to the candelabra arms and side handles, candelabra arms are slightly distorted but these do not detract. The dial is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
