A Lovely Victorian Period Mahogany Antique Pedestal Desk

19th century
Description

A lovely Victorian Period mahogany antique pedestal desk. The solid mahogany rectangular top having an inset red leather writing surface and thumb moulded edge. The front having an arrangement of nine rectangular drawers with mahogany fronts, the original turned drawer pulls, mahogany drawer linings and the original brass locks with working key. The sides and back finished in solid mahogany and raised on a mahogany veneered plinth with inset castors. English circa 1770-1780, in superb original condition, a lovely colour and patina. The desk splits into three sections for easy transportation

Dimensions: 48" wide x 27" deep x 29" high (Knee hole 24" high x 21" wide)
