Set of 8 Antique Sheraton Style Mahogany Dining Chairs

1920 - 1940
Description

An excellent set of antique Sheraton style shield back dining chairs in solid mahogany. These were made in England, they date from around the 1930’s.

The quality is superb, they are all very sturdy and well built. The pierced shield backs have intricate carving with Prince of Wales feathers. The seats have serpentine shaped fronts, these sit on tapered legs with spade feet and double stretchers for extra stability. There are six straight side chairs and two carver chairs with arms.

We have had these cleaned re-polished, the drop in seats have been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric.

Width carvers – 23 inches , 58 cm

Width side chairs – 21 inches , 54 cm

Depth – 21 inches , 54 cm

Height – 38 inches , 97 cm

Seat height – 19 inches , 48 cm
