Victorian Silver Posy Vase – Chester 1900

Standing on a stepped base, this lovely SOLID SILVER POSY VASE is of baluster form with a superbly embossed body with a scroll and foliate design and two applied elegant handles. The top rim is crimped and flared giving this unusual Silver Vase a very attractive appearance.

Made by William Aitken and assayed in Chester in 1900, the vase is free from any added engravings, initials or monograms and is in excellent condition despite being over 120 years old.

Height – 5.25” (133mm) / Width – 2.5” (63mm)

Weight – 63gm / 2.03ozt (Note: weighted base)
