A striking drum head bracket clock by Barraud and Lund of exceptional quality. The case is made of quarter sawn mahogany with a beautifully crisp silvered and engraved roman dial with blued steel hands. The eight day twin fusee movement striking on a gong with pendulum lock is of excellent quality signed and numbered 1974 to match the dial.Manufactured between 1849 and 1869 the company of Barraud and Lund was start in 1795 by Paul Phillip Baraud, when Richard Lund became a partner in 1838 the Lund was added to the company.
